Day 5

GOLDEN TRIANGLE EXPLORER STYLE

Begin with a visit to Ta Prohm, a mysterious temple which is perhaps one of the most photogenic landmarks of Angkor. Hauntingly entwined by strangler figs, it retains much of its lost-temple-in-the-jungle charm. Then transfer to the airport to board your private jet once again for your flight to Chiang Rai in northern Thailand. The charming city acts as a gateway to the Golden Triangle region which connects the borders of three countries: Thailand Myanmar and Laos. Transfer directly to Four Seasons Tented Camp and immerse yourself in the glamorous explorer lifestyle. Your comfortable and fully outfitted tent comes complete with a bath tub and an outdoor terrace that overlooks stunning views of the lush tropical forest.

You may also visit to the nearby Hall of Opium which highlights the history and dangers of the opium trade, or indulge in a relaxing treatment at the resort’s luxurious spa. Enjoy full board with fine dining available at the open-air restaurant or sip a cocktail at the bar. RETURN TO THE CITY OR BEACH EXTENSION

Check out of your tented camp resort and fly back to Bangkok where you can connect with your return flight home or continue to your next destination. Consider extending your stay and indulge in a few more nights at one of Thailand’s exotic beach resorts.  We recommended a stay at the wonderfully exclusive Soneva Kiri resort, a remote property on the north-western tip of Koh Kood in the Gulf of Thailand. Set on an idyllic beachfront backed by sunny slopes, Soneva Kiri offers a truly secluded and isolated experience where you can bask in the tropical island atmosphere, walk barefoot on the sand, swim in the warm ocean waters, or dine in a private pod the treetops where your meal is served with supreme ocean vistas.
